London – Nepali playwright and poet Gopi Sapkota has brought out his long awaited collection of English poems ‘A Suicide Note’ recently. Mr. Sapkota has already published six plays and poetry collections in Nepali, and is regarded as one of the most influential playwrights in Nepal. A Suicide Note is his first collection of English poems.
Mr. Sapkota is one of the few writers in Nepal, who have published their books in English. He was actively involved in the initiative of promoting Nepali writing in English when he was in Nepal. He also served as Secretary of Society of Nepali Writers in English from 2001 to 2007. Currently, he lives in London.
